Banned Breeds:

The following breeds of dogs are prohibited to be imported into UAE:

1) All Kinds Pit Bull, 2) Japanese Tosa (TosaInu; Tosa Fighting Dog), 3) Argentinian Fighting Dog (DogoArgentino; Argentinian Mastiff). 4) Brazilian Fighting Dog (Fila Brasileino; Brazilian Mastiff), 5) Wolf Dog Hybrid ( Any dog mixed with a wolf). 6) American Staffordshire terrier. 

Required:

Original Vaccination card or animal passport includes pet microchip, date of birth, validity of treatments, Rabies vaccination and other vaccinations records (dates, manufacturer, batch No. ,vacc. stickers…etc.). 

RSNT:

If an original Certificate for Rabies Serum Neutralization test (RSNT), it should be attested with minimum titer of 0.5IU/ml or above , this certificate is not required from the listed countries below : Australia, Austria, Andorra, Aruba, Barbados, Bahrain, Belgium, Comoros, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, French Polynesia, Falkland Island, Germany, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Mauritius, Malaysia, Malta, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, San Marino, Seychelles, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Vanuatu

Cargo vs Excess baggage:

Importing pets to UAE can only be done by cargo and no excess baggage option is available.

Important points to consider:

- Does the destination country require quarantin? For how long (Australia)

- Is using a relocation agent mandatory for clearance (UK)

- Timeframes for vaccines and parasites treatment (90 days for Rabies blood test) 

- The validity of the certificates and documents issued for relocation purpose.

- Flat face pets (French bulldog dog, Persian cat...etc.) might not be allowed on specific airlines during certain times of the year. Check with your agent and/or airlines to plan the travel date and the documents issuance dates accordingly.
